- Proverbs 10:8
Once upon a time there was a very funny uncle. He just loved to make jokes. He enjoyed to play with his nieces and nephews.
His little niece went to his house to spend the afternoon. After playing and walked the dog together, he, decided it was about time to read the newspaper. A little bit angry, he peaked to the new candidates.
Let’s see. Who do we have in here? Oh, no! Nati, Rata (Short for Natividad a name, and Rata short for robber) Oh yes! Nati, Rata!, Nati, Rata!
Come on little niece, repeat after me, let’s say it together: Nati, Rata! Nati, Rata!
The ingenuity of the niece was obvious. She started to repeat: Nati Rata! Nati, Rata! It was like she was going to receive an award for memorizing the loud cheer!
The time flew away. Her mom came to picked her up.
A few days went bye, the niece’s mom was invited to a pro-campaign community breakfast for Nati the candidate. It was very fancy in a superb restaurant (I wonder where the citizens taxes are for).
Nobody was available to take care of the 3 year old niece, so the mom took her.
All the very well dress up ladies were there, sit on the very well dressed tables in a very pompous event.
Some of the present children were quiet on their mothers’ laps anxiously waiting for the candidate to arrive.
An overwhelmed silence was the witness of his arrival. The candidate arrived by the main entrance.
The little niece, with great excitement could not resist it and with all her strenght started to scream: ” Nati, Rata!, Nati,Rata!”
The mom of course, was green by that time. Immediately the cheer was put off. The mom’s hand was in the little niece’s mouth.
Poor little girl!!
Time flew away, the little niece is 8 years old now and just 2 weeks ago there was and article on the Newspaper of that town. Nati is going to be judged in court not only for taking money from taxes but also for giving guvernment contracts to his family and friends!!!!
I was thinking to myself the other day: Funny, how five years ago, the uncle and the niece already knew.
We all are going to be accountable for our position of responsability. It is and honor and a privilege to serve people I still don’t understand at what point public servers believe that all belongs to them!!!
I really believe that all of them needs not only the Lord but to read The Book(The Bible) in order to exercise good citinzenship and be no less than exemplar servers like Daniel was.
It is my prayer that public servers kneel down to the most High Public Servers of all: Jesus.
What a different world would we have.
Let’s keep praying for a change of heart in all of them!!!
Adios!
