“Build on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.” Ephesians 2:20

Our Lord Jesus came near human kind. He was born in a manger.

Original mangers were made out clay mixed with straw, others were made from stone.

He was born on a “stable” what is most accurate to say is that He was born on a cave where animals used to live. Cows, goats, pigs, chickens and even mice. The smell probably was not the best.

Mary a teenage girl pregnant with a soon to born baby. The pain unbearable. The trip very long.

The contractions were closer and closer. They will take anyplace for labor.(Not me!)

Open space, night creatures, crawling insects. Her trust was in the Lord. “Do not be afraid, the Lord is with you”, she remembered.

The baby was born. Everything disappear, a tunnel of concentration fell on the baby. The rest did not

matter.

God rested in a manger. If it was made of stone, the implications of these were huge. Jesus the strong foundation of all Christian doctrine was the rock upon all Christian world will rest.  If it was clay , that would suggest that the giver of life that started human life with clay when created Adam chose to come and personally experienced what is to be close to those raw materials that he used in the creation of humanity!

God created animal life according into their gender and specie. I am tempted to think that He loves animals so much, he wanted to be surrounded by them. He created the animal kingdom before Human life appear over the face of the earth.

He was born in a cave made out of stone. I wonder if this was a figurative meaning of who He is; The rock of all ages. The one that can not be moved. The one that is 100% reliable and never fails. The only one that is loyal and loves you no matter what.

He was the most humble person that ever lived on this earth.

He left His crown and throne for you and me.

He was not a shy person, rather a brave one.

He stood for the less privileged with all his authority.

He loved without judgment. He restored. He gave back life.

He laughed and cried. He played and rested. He fasted and prayed.

He was a great guy. Even children wanted to be around Him.

He gave away everything he had to come near you because he loves you dearly.

Would you remember him and honor him every day of your life?
